The Art of Mastering Tips

How to Have a Perfect Dog

A dog is a type of domesticated carnivorous mammal that characteristically has a long nose, with a strong sense of smell, and a barking voice. It is believed that dogs have been the first animals to be bred by people over long period. Universally, dogs are born in different colors, and as they grow they possess different shape and size, however, these dogs perform roles which are common to all dogs, these include, providing security, pulling loads, hunting and herding. In addition, some dogs have been trained to perform some specialized roles, including providing military companionship, assisting the physically disabled people as well as offering therapeutic duties. The most common types of dogs include, guard dogs, working dogs, hunting dogs, companion dogs, and herding dogs.

When an individual or a family wants to breed a dog, there are basic commands that they need to teach the dog, these include, sit, come, down, stay, and leave it command. For instance the sit command is considered to be the easiest dog respect commands to teach, therefore, it is essential, to begin with. The steps involved in training a dog how to sit include, holding a dog`s meal close to its nose, then move the hand upward and allowing the dog`s head to follow the food, making its back to move downwards, once the dog is in a sitting position, the instructor needs to say sit. Once the dog has mastered the sit command, the owner needs to train the dog to sit before mealtime, when leaving for walks, and during situations that the owner would like the dog to calm and seated.

Moreover, when one wants to train a dog the down command, they need to follow the following steps, these include looking for a good smelling food and holding it tight in their hand closer to the dog`s nose to ensure that the dog sniffs it, then one needs to move their hand to the floor so that the dog follow, once the dog`s` head is on the floor, one needs to slide their hand along the ground in front of the dog so as to encourage the dog`s` body to move forward and follow its head, once the dog is in a down position, the owner need to say down and the give the dog the food.

The staying command is also considered complex since not every dog can easily follow this command, it is only dogs that have mastered the sit command that can comply with the stay command. Moreover, the leaving command is considered useful since it can protect the dog when it is too curious and if it smells something that may have dangerous effects on its health.
